Philosophy
The Dance Center of New Jersey is a school dedicated to the highest caliber of instruction with focus on the development of a strong clean and solid ballet technique – the foundation of every student’s growth and progression in all dance forms. Each student is ensured personal attention and quality instruction - students are given valuable correction in a motivated and friendly environment, building proficiency and self-confidence in each dancer. We appreciate that there are many reasons for studying dance and welcome all students, both the professionally bound and those who study for enjoyment. It is our hope that each student will discovers the joy that dance can bring to their lives. Though the school focuses on building a strong ballet technique, quality instruction is offered in a variety of other genres giving the students an opportunity to grow into a diverse, well rounded dancer capable of most any style.

Curriculum
The Dance Center of New Jersey is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Edward Verso, has sucessfully completed the ABT Certified Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 3 of the ABT National Training Curriculum.

The Repertory Dancers
Our pre-professional dance company, The Repertory Dancers offers students the chance to improve technique, build confidence and develop a sense of artistry through additional performances opportunities. The company performs an annual Nutcracker and other performing opportunities.

Location
Our dance studio is located in St. Bernard’s Episcopal Church, 88 Claremont Road in Bernardsville, NJ with close proximity to I-287, I-78 Rts 202/206 and the Bernardsville Train Station. The Dance Center of NJ serves the surrounding towns of Bernardsville, Mendham, Basking Ridge, Bedminster, Bridgewater, Brookside, Far Hills, Gladstone, Liberty Corner, Long Valley, Martinsville, New Vernon, Oldwick, Peapack, Pluckemin, Pottersville, Raritan, Readington, Tewksbury, Warrren, Watchung, Whitehouse Station.
